UPDATE: Pedestrian Killed in Gastonia

December 6, 2023

On December 5, 2023 at 3:53 PM, The Gastonia Police Department Traffic Bureau responded to 1911 Brownstone Court about a pedestrian being struck by a Federal Express delivery vehicle.

A female indentified as Kay Andrews of Gastonia, 83 years old, was located and was transported to CaroMont Regional Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.  The driver of the Federal Express truck was indentified at 38 year old Yashica London of Bessemer City.  More information will be released as it become available.
