About Us

The Gastonia Fire Department is a highly trained municipality fire department that is proud to serve the approximate 80,411 citizens of Gastonia, North Carolina. The department's mission is to "Save lives and property, and to proudly serve the citizens and visitors of the City of Gastonia." This is accomplished through training, dedication, and a commitment to service.

Our department employs 144 full time personnel, covers 53 square miles, and consists of 8 fire stations located throughout the city limits of Gastonia.
