We will pick up your old electronic equipment.
The City of Gastonia will pick up your old electronic equipment for a fee of $25.00 per item. Please place the item(s) at the curb prior to your regular collection day and we will pick it up within 72 hours. Please call our Customer Care Center at 704-866-6714 to inform us that the item is at the curb.
1. Visit the North Carolina Environmental Quality website for recycling options offered by computer and television manufacturers. All computer and television manufacturers must offer recycling options for the equipment they manufacture.
2. Conduct an Internet search for companies that accept and sometimes offer rebates for electronic items such as MP3 players, wireless phones, electronic camcorders, etc. Some stores offer trade-in programs for computers, monitors, digital cameras, camcorders, game systems, and other gadgets.
3. The Gaston County Landfill provides an electronic drop-off site. Please call the Recycling Hotline at 704-922-7729 for more information.
