The City of Gastonia's Free Excess Household Trash Week is March 21-25.

• On customer's regular trash collection day.
• Dispose of unwanted household items such as furniture, mattresses and boxes of unwanted items.
• Please place smaller items, such as clothing and toys, into boxes or garbage bags for easier collection.
• Fees apply to tires, appliances and electronics.
• No collection of building materials, dirt, rocks, bricks, hazardous liquids, batteries or automotive parts.

The week of March 21, the City of Gastonia will not collect yard waste or leaves.
