City of Gastonia Releases 2025 Good Friday & Easter Holiday Schedule

City of Gastonia Administrative Offices will be closed Friday, April 18 in observance of Good Friday, which is a holiday for City employees. Some City services will be affected by the upcoming holiday:

  • GoGastonia will operate on a Saturday schedule (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) on Friday, April 18 (Good Friday). GoGastonia does not operate on Sundays. Hours of operation can be found on the GoGastonia webpage.
  • There will be no City garbage pickup on Friday, April 18 (Good Friday). Residential garbage collection will be delayed by one business day. Friday routes will be collected the following Monday, April 21, 2025. See the full holiday and special collection schedule
  • All City of Gastonia Community Centers and the main Recreation Admin Office will be closed Friday, April 18 (Good Friday) – Sunday, April 20 (Easter Sunday) and will re-open on Monday, April 21. The Skeet & Trap Range and Rankin Lake will operate under normal business hours the entire weekend without any holiday closures.   • The Schiele Museum of Natural History and Planetarium will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 20 and will reopen on Monday, April 21. Visit the Schiele Museum website for more information about hours of operation and events.
