City of Gastonia administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 19 in observance of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday. Some city services may be affected by the holiday.
Garbage Collection
- Monday’s garbage collection will be delayed until Tuesday, January 20.
- Tuesday’s collection will be garbage only, no other services.
- Residents can use the WasteWise app for information about the City’s Solid Waste pickup schedules, available on Google Play and the App Store.
- Regular services will resume on Wednesday, January 21.
GoGastonia
- GoGastonia will operate on a Saturday schedule, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
- There will be no Gastonia Transit ADA/Paratransit service.
City Parks and Recreation
- The main Parks & Recreation office will be closed on Monday, January 19.
- City parks will be open regular hours on the holiday.
- Community Centers and Adult Recreation Center will be closed on the holiday.
- The Skeet & Trap Range will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Schiele Museum
- The Schiele Museum and Planetarium will be open regular hours, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Tickets may be reserved in advance or purchased at the door.
