City of Gastonia Administrative Offices will be closed Friday, April 3 in observance of Good Friday, which is a holiday for City employees. Some City services will be affected by the upcoming holiday:
- GoGastonia will operate on a Saturday schedule (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday). GoGastonia does not operate on Sundays. Hours of operation can be found on the GoGastonia webpage. Gastonia Transit ADA/Paratransit Services will not be operating on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday).
- Solid Waste will be closed on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday) and there will be no City garbage pickup. Friday and Monday routes will be collected on Monday, April 6. There will be no yard waste, and no bulk collection service. Regular schedule resumes on Tuesday, April 7. See the full holiday and special collection schedule.
- All City of Gastonia Community Centers and the main Recreation Admin Office will be closed Friday, April 3 (Good Friday) – Sunday, April 5 (Easter Sunday) and will re-open on Monday, April 6. The Skeet & Trap Range and Rankin Lake will operate under normal business hours the entire weekend without any holiday closures. - The Schiele Museum of Natural History and Planetarium will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 5 and will reopen on Monday, April 6. Visit the Schiele Museum website for more information about hours of operation and events.
