Gastonia, N.C. - March 30, 2022: Detectives from the Gastonia Police Department (GPD) continue to investigate the March 5 shooting of a 19-year-old male and a 17-year-old male that occurred at the intersection of E. Garrison Boulevard and S. Chestnut Street. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photographs of the vehicle the suspect was traveling in and are asking the public for any information that could help identify the suspect.
At approximately 1:12 p.m. on March 5, GPD officers along with Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of E. Garrison Boulevard and S. Chestnut Street for a shooting that just occurred.
Upon arrival, officers found the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, detectives determined that the victims were traveling in a vehicle when they were shot by an unknown suspect. Investigators later determined that the suspect was traveling in a burgundy colored four-door Chevrolet at the time of the shooting.
