North Carolina Helene Recovery (FEMA)

FEMA has approved over $170 million to more than 112,000 households to help North Carolinians as they recover from Tropical Storm Helene. FEMA and the state of North Carolina are working to ensure survivors of Tropical Storm Helene are in safe, functional housing.

Reimbursement for out-of-pocket hotel costs, financial assistance towards rent and home repair, and FEMA-provided temporary hotel or motel stays are currently being provided to eligible households. FEMA is providing Direct Temporary Housing Assistance (DTHA) to qualifying households in 25 counties.
