Gastonia, N.C. - February 21, 2022: Detectives from the Gastonia Police Department are conducting a death investigation after human remains were found yesterday afternoon (February 20) near Catawba Creek behind Ferguson Park.
Investigators are working with the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the deceased’s identity and cause of death.
This remains an ongoing investigation.
