Gastonia, N.C. - June 2, 2023: Detectives from the Gastonia Police Department have arrested and charged 57-year-old James Thomas Robinson for yesterday afternoon’s murder of 26-year-old Brandon Patty that occurred inside a home on Fraley Church Road.
On June 1 just before 5:30 p.m., GPD officers responded to a home in the 2900 block of Fraley Church Road for the report of an unconscious person bleeding from the head.
Responding officers located Patty inside the home suffering from a head injury. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Robinson was arrested and taken to the Gaston County Jail where he was charged with first-degree murder. He is being held without bond.
