Fatal Crash Involving Gaston County Police Officer

Gastonia, NC. - Gastonia Police Department Traffic Investigators responded to a vehicle crash at 10:08 PM Saturday, February 24, 2024.
At this point, investigators say a Gaston County Police Officer was responding to a call for service when the crash occurred involving a citizen of Gaston County. The crash happened at the intersection of West Franklin Blvd and South Webb St. The driver of the other vehicle was killed in the crash.
The crash is in the early stages of investigation with few details available at this time.
