NC GreenPower

Gastonia is going “green” …with Green Power! The City of Gastonia offers participation in NC GreenPower to our utility customers. With a small voluntary contribution per month you can increase the amount of renewable green energy flowing in North Carolina.
NC GreenPower is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established in 2003, and is the first statewide multi-utility renewable energy program in the nation. Renewable energy comes from “greener” sources than traditional energy programs. Renewables include solar, wind, small hydro and organic matter sources.
Cleaner energy…cleaner environment…cleaner communities.
Participation is easy!! Purchase green renewable energy in $4 blocks = 100 kwh of energy. You decide how many green energy blocks you would like to purchase and this will show up as a separate line item on your monthly City utility bill. All proceeds will go to NC GreenPower for distribution to North Carolina renewable energy providers.
