Gastonia, N.C. - October 26, 2022: Detectives from the Gastonia Police Department (GPD) continue to investigate the October 23 shooting of a 34-year-old man that occurred outside a convenience store on W. Davidson Avenue. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect’s vehicle (a blue unknown make or model SUV) and are asking the public for any help in identifying the suspect who shot the victim, the owner of the vehicle, or the driver of the vehicle.
On October 23 at approximately noon, GPD officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a home on W. Davidson Avenue for the report of a shooting that just occurred. The victim was located at the home suffering from a gunshot wound and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, detectives determined the shooting occurred outside of Soo’s Market located at 902 W. Davidson Avenue. After he was shot, the victim went to a nearby residence to call 9-1-1.
