Homeowner Rehabilitation Program
The Community Development Division receives funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Through the use of these funds, low- to moderate- income homeowners may receive assistance with necessary housing repairs to help the homeowner maintain safe and affordable housing.
The Homeowner Rehabilitation Program assists homeowners with repairs to major operating systems, including roofing, heating and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, and plumbing. Assistance is available to income-eligible homeowners whose primary residence is located within the city limits of Gastonia. Additional eligibility requirements apply.

Water and Sewer Assistance
The Water and Sewer Connection Assistance Program assists with the tap fees and the plumbing costs associated with connecting to the City water/sewer system. Assistance is available to those persons within the required proximity of current available City of Gastonia water and sewer systems.
